Some History
The initiative to form EurEta came out of
FEANI, the European Federation of National
Engineering Associations. What first was
thought as a branch of FEANI was left for
independence before it really started to
exist:
| 1992 | Preparatory meetings |
| 1993 | Signing of the Statutes by the Preparatory Group representing six countries. |
| 1994 | First business year and first General Assembly. Working out of the Registration Regulations. |
| 1995 | Passing of the final versions of the Statutes and the Registration Regulations. The Seat is moved from Vienna to Zurich: The former Chairman of the Registration Committee Martin Eppler, Switzerland is elected President and Lennard Alfredsson, Sweden is elected new Chairman of the Registration Committee. |
| 1996 | Acknowledgement of the first national formation systems and registration of the first EurEta engineers. |
| 2001 | Martin Eppler resigns as President. Urs Keller, Switzerland is elected new President with effect of 1 July 2001. A new Board is elected with effect of 1 January 2002. |
| 2004 | European professional qualifications for Engineers with intensive Support of EurEta and FEANI. |
| 2006 | EurEta conference for higher qualified Engineers in Cagliari/Sardinien. |
| 2007 | EurEta started first offivial meeting with members of the Eurepean Parlament in Strasbourg/FR on the 25. April 07.
Eureta will help on the demand of the EU Commission to biuld up the group of coodinators for the recognition of professional qualification of professional engineers. |
